Turtle Walk Story Hour Event October 22, 2021 – 4-5 PM
Join us for a family-friendly event, as we tell the story of a turtle’s journey through the seasons!
Following the footsteps of a turtle, as depicted in the children’s book Turtle Walk, by Matt Phelan, we will stroll through our Turtle Sanctuary in West Barnstable, discovering how turtles nest, hatch, grow and begin their lives.
This event is the first in Orenda’s Story Hour event series. It will be held at our Margaret Wyman Wildlife Sanctuary, at 194 Meadow Lane in West Barnstable, where we have an ongoing diamondback terrapin turtle protection program that identifies, monitors and protects these threatened creatures.
This event is free, with a recommended donation of $5 per person. All proceeds from this event directly support Orenda’s Diamondback Terrapin Protection Program.
We look forward to seeing you there!
