Giving Tuesday: Securing Critical Resources For Wildlife!
Giving Tuesday, which occurs annually on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving, is a global movement that inspires and celebrates collaboration and generosity. Your generosity is what fuels Orenda’s growing impact and is what has enabled us to achieve our mission to preserve land and protect wildlife – forever.
This Giving Tuesday, we are prioritizing a very important project:
to secure critical resources for wildlife through the removal of non-native invasive plant species from our sanctuaries…
Invasive plants grow rapidly and aggressively on Cape Cod, taking up space, sunlight, and nutrients that native plants need to survive – this means less available native plants for wildlife that depend on them for food and shelter.
It is resource-intensive to address this issue…but, we have encouraging news!
WE HAVE RECEIVED A $1,000 DONOR MATCH CHALLENGE!
This means if we can raise $1,000 on Giving Tuesday with your support, we will have immediately secured another $1,000 – for a total of $2,000 raised – to earmark for this very important initiative!
