Margaret Wyman Sanctuary

West Barnstable 3.43 acres – 2017

Margaret Wyman Sanctuary is 3.43 acres of woodland and open sunny areas that the endangered Terrapin turtles have favored for many years. This parcel is next to our Smith’s Dock property and across the road from our new property given to us by the Barnstable Land Trust in a swap deal. The parcel is named after Jefferies Wyman’s late wife. Jefferies is a member of Orenda’s board.

Directions: 194 Meadow Lane, West Barnstable: Turn onto Meadow Lane and drive north. The sanctuary is on the right. It runs from north of that driveway entrance for 200 feet towards the marsh and the boundary of the Smith Dock sanctuary.
